Jakostenkallio (Sievi)

In production

In 2011, Infinergies Finland Oy began planning the Jakostenkallio wind power project in the municipality of Sievi, Northern Ostrobothnia. Construction work on the project was completed at the end of 2021, when 7 wind turbines were constructed at the Jakostenkallio wind farm.

The V150 (4.3 MW) by Vestas was selected as the turbine type for 6 of the Jakostenkallio turbines and the V150 (4.2 MW) by Vestas for one. After completion in 2021, the project's 7 wind turbines generate 30 MW of renewable electricity with the installed capacity and an estimated maximum of approximately 133 GWh of emission-free, renewable energy per year. This corresponds to the annual electricity consumption of approximately 7000 four-person households living in electrically heated detached houses, each with an average energy consumption of 19 000 kWh per year.

This project was realised in cooperation with ABO Energy Finland Oy.
