Uposenmäki (Pyhäjärvi)
Component Master Plan ➔ Permitting process is in the EIA
Infinergies Finland Oy began planning the project in Uposenmäki, Pyhäjärvi, in Northern Ostrobothnia in 2021. The project area currently covers approximately 1,400 hectares and is located in the northern part of Lake Pyhäjärvi, about 12 km from the center of Pyhäjärvi, bordering the municipal boundary of Kärsämäki. A maximum of 9 wind turbines are planned for the project area.
An environmental impact assessment report (EIA report) and a draft component master plan are currently being prepared for the project.
Upon completion, the total installed capacity of the wind turbines in this project will be approximately 72 MW, and the annual production of clean, renewable energy will be estimated at a maximum of 180 GWh. This corresponds roughly to the annual electricity consumption of 9,500 electrically heated single-family homes with four occupants, assuming an average annual energy consumption of 19,000 kWh each.
