Kokkopetäikkö (Pyhäjärvi)
Component Master plan ➔ Draft Zoning Plan is preparation
In 2021, Infinergies Finland Oy began planning the Kokkopetäikkö wind power project in Pyhäjärvi, Northern Ostrobothnia. The project area is located on the municipal border of Haapajärvi, approximately 15 km from the centre of Pyhäjärvi.
The project currently includes up to 9 wind turbines. The total capacity of the turbines is estimated at 72 MW, and their estimated maximum annual output is approximately 180 GWh, which corresponds roughly to the annual electricity consumption of 9,500 electrically heated single-family homes for a family of four, with an average annual energy consumption of 19, 000 kWh.
This project is being planned with careful attention to the nearby residential areas and nature conservation areas. Also other wind power projects in the region are taken into consideration. Currently, supplementary environmental surveys are being conducted for the Kokkoperäikkö project, and a draft plan is being prepared. At the same time, planning for power transmission and other infrastructure continues.
