Hautakangas-Harvankangas

Component Master Plan ➔ Draft Zoning Plan in preparation
Infinergies Finland Oy began planning the Hautakangas project in Pyhäjärvi, Northern Ostrobothnia, in 2018. The project area is located approximately 12 km from the centre of Pyhäjärvi. The project will be implemented in two phases: in the first phase (Phase I Hautakangas), 11 wind turbines will be built, and in the second phase, up to 31 wind turbines (Phase II Hautakangas–Harvankangas).

Land use planning and a draft zoning plan for the city of Pyhäjärvi are currently being prepared for the Hautakangas–Harvankangas Project.

Upon completion, the estimated total capacity of the project’s 31 wind turbines will be approximately 248 MW, and their estimated maximum annual energy production will be about 620 GWh. This corresponds roughly to the annual electricity consumption of 32,500 electrically heated single-family homes for a family of four, assuming an average annual energy consumption of 19,000 kWh.

At Infinergies, we are collaborating on this project with ABO Energy Finland Oy with the aim of shaping our future and producing renewable, emission-free energy.

As of November 2025, responsibility for the project has been transferred to Fortum Oyj.
