Kokkoneva (Siikalatva)

Infinergies Finland Oy began planning the Kokkoneva wind power project in Kestilä, Siikalatva in Northern Ostrobohnia, in 2014. The project was completed in the summer of 2022, when the construction work of 9 wind turbines was finalized at the Kokkoneva wind farm.

The Kokkoneva wind farm produces renewable electricity using Nordex N149 (4.8 MW) turbines. The total installed capacity of the wind farm is 43.2 MW, and it produces an estimated maximum of 171 GWh of emission-free, renewable energy per year. This corresponds to the annual electricity consumption of nearly 9000 four-person households living in electrically heated detached houses, each with an average energy consumption of 19 000 kWh per year.
